Polishing Machine is a PLC-controlled surface treatment and dehulling machine used as an initial step in the precision cleaning processes of pulses, snack sunflower seeds, flower, vegetable, field and garden seeds. It removes unwanted structures such as outer husks, hairs, awns, tails and wings from the product surface without damaging the seed, while giving the product an attractive appearance suitable for the retail market.
Working Principle: The process begins by feeding a predetermined amount of raw material into the cylindrical drum. The machine is fully optimized through its integrated PLC control system and operates with parameters that can be flexibly programmed according to the seed structure:
Bidirectional Drum Movement: The cylindrical drum rotates both clockwise and counterclockwise for PLC-defined periods. The waiting time between rotations and drum speed are precisely controlled to create a homogeneous friction environment.
Surface Cleaning and Separation: Controlled friction and tumbling inside the drum safely separate seeds that have adhered to each other, while removing outer layers such as husks, awns and hairs that can reduce storage life and product quality.
Integrated Aspiration (Vacuum): Lightweight husks, dust and foreign particles removed during processing are immediately extracted from the main product by a powerful aspiration system whose speed can be adjusted via the PLC screen.
At the end of the process, products intended especially for the retail market, such as snack sunflower seeds, acquire a bright, clean and attractive appearance, while a clean surface environment is achieved to support long-term seed storage.
