One of the most critical components of pneumatic and mechanical conveying systems, the Rotary Airlock (Rotary Valve or Airlock) functions both as a feeder and a sealing element when transferring bulk materials from one hopper to another. Manufactured with SRD Makine assurance, these airlocks maintain pressure differentials within your system while ensuring a consistent flow of raw materials.
The system operates through the synchronization of gravity and mechanical rotary motion:
Filling: Powdered or granular material at the upper feed point flows by gravity into the spaces between the rotor blades.
Transfer: The rotor, driven by a geared motor, carries the material within the blade pockets and transfers it to the lower outlet.
Discharge: The material is discharged into the system through the lower outlet as the rotor rotates. During this process, the rotor blades minimize airflow (pressure differential) between the inlet and outlet, functioning as an Airlock.
