Single-Deck Screening Machine is a calibration equipment designed to classify pre-cleaned or already clean cereals, pulses, oilseeds, and nuts solely according to their dimensional characteristics. It separates the product into a maximum of two different size fractions, undersize and oversize, with millimetric precision, while also removing broken grains. In industrial lines, it is generally positioned at the outlet (lower section) of optical sorting (Color Sorter) machines and serves as the final quality control stage.
Working Principle: The machine does not incorporate any air suction or aspiration system and operates entirely mechanically, focusing exclusively on dimensional calibration. The process is carried out as follows:
Eccentric Vibration System: The raw material entering the feed hopper is discharged onto the screening deck. Linear vibration waves generated by powerful eccentric bearings ensure that the product is distributed evenly across the screen surface and moves forward.
Gradual Separation into Two Sizes: Since the machine has a single screening deck, the vibrating raw material is separated into a maximum of two size fractions—undersize and oversize—resulting in two finished product sizes at the end of the process.
Brush Screen Cleaning: Integrated mechanical brushes located beneath the screen sheet prevent the mesh openings from becoming clogged or blocked during screening. This brushing mechanism keeps the machine's operating efficiency at the highest possible level.
Depending on the plant layout and mobility requirements, the system can optionally be manufactured with either a fixed or mobile (wheeled/portable) chassis.
Products Processed and Improved: It is reliably used for final inspection and precision calibration of all dry-grain agricultural products, particularly soybeans, chickpeas, beans, kidney beans, fava beans, sesame, lentils, wheat, rice, sunflower seeds, and cumin.
